The last time I saw George was in the airport. I heard and recognized his voice before I saw him. I spent a lot of time updating him on everyone who lived in the neighborhood around the grocery store George used to own on 25th Street. All of the people in that area had a lot of love and respect for George. He never forgot any of us as I found out. George was a good guy and he will be missed. I am sorry I did not find out in time to pay my repects in person. I am truly sorry for your loss.

George love telling everyone how he use to carry me on his shoulders when I was a baby. I was remembering Evon the other day and wondering how all were doing in this one year of her passing. I did not know of George’s passing until Wednesday night. I could not come to the festival this year because it would be too painful not to see Evon and now George. Mischel I want to express my sorrow to you and your family may you find peace and strength through God who sustains us all in good times and sad times. Your friend, Margo(Hurley and Vern’s daughter).
